About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a self-motivated and experienced Communication & Engagement Officer to join our Communities team to play a key role in the development and delivery of key communications and engagement initiatives across various channels, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and community relations for projects Australia-wide.
Reporting to the Group Communities & Indigenous Affairs Manager, you will be accountable for the following:
Develop and deliver key operations, project, and exploration communications- Coordinate and manage the delivery of community information sessions for various projects, ensuring effective engagement with local communities- Create and distribute communication materials related to external stakeholders, such as landholder notices for access, road, and construction impacts- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and disseminate information relevant to community and stakeholder communications- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including community groups, local authorities, and other external partners- Support the planning and execution of events and activities aimed at promoting community engagement and awareness- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines related to communication and stakeholder engagement
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualification in Communications (or similar) preferred- Demonstrated experience in a similar role- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills- Strong attention to detail and systematic approach- Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines- Ability to work independently- Proficiency in technology and computer-based programs
