About the role As our next HME Heavy Diesel Fitter to proudly represent our Maintenance Team on a 14/7 roster, you will live for challenges and thrive on the variety of work available. - Work a 14/7 Roster, 7 Days and 7 Nights, 12 hours shifts
- Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet including CAT 793, 16M, 994, Komatsu WA1200, Liebherr T264 and other equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation
- Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high standard
- Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer bases systems
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance of all mobile equipment by running diagnostics testing of specialist diesel machinery & equipment (including trucks and ancillary) in a mining environment
- Carrying out repairs, maintenance, servicing and managing work orders
- Testing engine safety, part upgrades, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance and repairing faults
- Field Service or Breakdown Experience Highly regarded
- High attention to detail regarding personal and team safety
- Set and maintaibn high housekeeping standards
- Carry out pre-start checks About you
- Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years post trade experience in mining or Heavy Earth Moving induction
- Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of CAT, Komatsu and Liebherr
- Experience in vehicle air conditioning systems (desirable)
- HR drivers licence (desirable)
