Your Recent Role Coming in as a caretaker, you keep the group financial controller role ticking over, reporting directly to the CFO, and work peer to the FP&A; manager. (Traditional Finance Team Structure). Under your remit will come all financial reporting, compliance, and shared services (transactional finance) teams. Your role is that of a leader, mentor, guide and support, you are not expected to be hands on with the financials (exception of board reports, management reports, and technical accounting anomalies requiring higher level expertise). - Ongoing Risk Management
- Support FP&A; Manager with budgeting, planning, forecasting, finance strategy as requested.
- Deliver on ad-hoc requests from the business and executive leaders Your Profile & Prior Experience As a caretaker role where you will hit the ground running, you've performed this role previously (and well) in the past. You are a seasoned leader, having managed teams of 10+ as a controller/finance manager, in a centralized shared services environment with some complexity. Your former staff enjoyed working for you so much, you keep in contact and support them even now that you don't work together, tears were probably cried when you left your last jobs because you made that much of an impact on others. Given the experience within your immediate team, you will have 15+ years experience, be a qualified CA/CPA with superior technical accounting experience paired with the empathy and EQ to support a high performing team.
