Franna Operators (25T), Intermediate Riggers & Trades Assistants – Long Term Projects (WA Site Roles) About the business Polaris Engineering delivers high-quality engineering and construction solutions, specialising in heavy fabrication and surface treatment services including structural steel, plate work, pipework, and rotatable maintenance services. Our clients include major companies across the industrial, mining resources, and construction sectors. Due to a strong pipeline of long-term projects, we are seeking experienced Franna Operators (25T), Intermediate Riggers, and Trades Assistants to join our team for ongoing site-based roles across WA. About the Roles We are looking for reliable, safety-focused personnel who are seeking consistent, long-term work and are willing to contribute across multiple areas on site. Franna Operators (25T)
- Operate 25T Franna cranes safely and efficiently on site.
- Perform lifting operations in line with lift studies and site procedures.
- Conduct pre-start checks and maintain equipment.
- Work closely with rigging crews and assist where required. Intermediate Riggers
- Perform rigging duties across structural and mechanical installations.
- Execute lifts safely, including complex and non-routine lifts.
- Work collaboratively with crane operators, supervisors, and trades.
- Assist with general site tasks when required. (Minimum Intermediate Rigging – Basic will not be considered) Trades Assistants (TA’s)
- Assist trades (mechanical fitters, boilermakers, riggers, etc.) with daily site activities.
- Support lifting, installation, and general labouring tasks.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas.
- Provide support across crews as required. (Must hold EWP ticket) Mandatory Requirements (All Roles)
- Proven site-based experience in mining, construction, or heavy industry.
- Current Construction White Card.
- Working at Heights (within 2 years).
- National Police Clearance (within 6 months).
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening.
- Available for immediate or short-notice start. Highly Regarded
- Additional tickets (Dogging, Forklift, HR Licence, Confined Space, etc.).
- Experience on large-scale SMP or construction projects. What We’re Looking For
