Job Description: As a Residential Draftsperson at CU Building Company, you will play a crucial role in transforming architectural concepts into detailed and accurate construction drawings. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure that all designs meet client specifications, building codes, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details, using ArchiCAD.
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to develop and refine design concepts.
- Prepare and modify drawings based on client feedback and project requirements.
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare prestart drawings, including all amendments required in accordance with the Engineering and Energy Efficiency reports.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documentation, including specifications and schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage responsibilities effectively with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate effectively with team members to ensure project deadlines and key milestones are achieved. Demonstrates the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Conduct site visits to gather information and verify design accuracy. Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Architectural and Building Design, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of local experience (Perth) in architectural drafting, preferably in the residential and/or commercial sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software (ArchiCAD) is essential.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and building construction.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
