Work, Health Safety and Environmental Advisor (Relief) (Perth)

Overview GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) is an ASX listed engineering consulting and contracting organisation providing high quality process engineering design and construction services to the resources and mineral processing industry. GRES is actively looking for talent across all areas of our business. We are looking for an experienced Work, Health Safety and Environmental Advisor with a background in Construction to join our Safety Team. Responsibilities
- Provide relief over two projects in Western Australia, covering for R&R; 2 weeks per month.
- Work closely with the Construction Manager, Supervisors, Contractors and site teams to ensure the project is delivered safely.
- Coordinate and deliver WHS Training programmes to the workforce, including site inductions, training and verification of competencies.
- Provide regular analysis and reporting of safety metrics to the business to communicate progress against HSET plans and key objectives.
- Lead incident investigations with site management to identify root causes and implement corrective actions, ensuring closure within agreed time frames.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to monitor compliance, identify non-conformances or improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
- Review and strengthen Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and critical risk controls.
- Provide visible and proactive safety leadership on site.
- Maintain high quality safety reporting and documentation.
- Deliver toolbox talks, pre-starts and other safety interactions. Qualifications
- Experience in mining, construction or a project workplace.
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- Certificate IV TAE.
- Knowledge of Western Australia WHS legislation and safety systems.
- ICAM investigation training.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence positive safety behaviours.
- Construction White Card.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Full and unrestricted Australian working rights.
