The Role
- Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.
- Undertake and pass all necessary weld qualifications in required weld processes.
- Perform the welding of steel components in all positions.
- Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures.
- Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW.
- Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components.
- Conduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment, hand tools, tooling and equipment prior carrying out the task. About You
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate.
- Construction White Card.
- Work Safely at Heights (within 2 years of issue).
- Enter and Work in Confined Space (within 2 years of issue).
- Gas Test Atmospheres (desirable).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical and regular / random Drug and Alcohol screens.
- Additional Tickets will be highly regarded.
