Vice President Asset Optimisation (Perth)

Overview Enterprise-wide role shaping global portfolio performance and value. A key role in the COO leadership team influencing Group strategy and operations and leading transformation through optimisation, technology, and innovation. Gold Fields is seeking an exceptional leader to drive value, performance, and long‑term sustainability across our global asset portfolio. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and forming a key part of the COO leadership team, the Vice President of Asset Optimisation will lead the strategy, governance, and execution of initiatives that maximise the performance of our mines, processing plants and supporting infrastructure. The role will be based in the Perth office and will require frequent travel to our domestic and international assets. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of a Group‑wide asset optimisation strategy to maximize production, cost efficiency and free cash flow.
- Drive value through a balanced focus on stabilisation, optimisation and transformation while establishing a consistent asset performance framework for reliable, predictable delivery.
- Lead targeted improvement initiatives across productivity, reliability and process optimisation, and champion the use of digital and advanced analytics to enhance performance.
- Influence at an executive level as a visible and credible safety leader. Qualifications
- Degree‑qualified in Engineering, Metallurgy or a related mining discipline.
- Extensive senior leadership experience within the mining or resources sector with a proven track record in asset optimisation and operational excellence.
- Successful experience leading complex, multi‑site transformation programmes and strong commercial acumen.
