- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on underground trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment required for mining and underground.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment components.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to complete complex repair projects.
- Handle breakdowns and underground maintenance tasks for a wide range of mining equipment. Qualifications
- Current and valid Driver’s License (manual required).
- National Police Clearance (validity dependent on site).
- Australian Recognized Trade Certificate.
- Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Robust communication and teamwork skills.
