- Located at Karara mine (45 minutes flight from Perth) Key ingredients to ensure success in the role:
- Strong knowledge of general arrangement and mechanical drawings, procedure assessment with the installation of mechanical equipment
- Following production schedules to determine project or job instructions and specifications
- Installation and alignments to drives
- Installation of piping arrangements and equipment
- Installation/Alignment of mechanical componentry using dial indicators, laser alignment tools, ball/ag mill, feeler gauges, squares and straight edges as required to acceptable tolerances as defined from the operation and maintenance manuals
- Identification of defective or worn components and equipment, repair and replace as required.
- Use of wide range of hand tools and engineering techniques to maintain, replace and repair mechanical plant and equipment to a high standard.
- Maintain a safe work environment by complying with site and company policies and procedures Essential Requirements for role:
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Minimum of 12 months continuous experience with fixed plant maintenance, ideally in mining or a similar industry
- Australian or Australian-recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
- White Card
- Working at Heights
- High-risk license
- Confined Space
- Gas Testing
