About the Role We are seeking a Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter for our Kalgoorlie team. The position operates on a 5‑2, 4‑3 day roster with 10‑hour days. Flexible working arrangements are available to accommodate individual needs. Working in Care & Maintenance, you will carry out daily preventive maintenance inspections, breakdown maintenance, and repair work within the plant and around the site, including Acid plant, Effluent plant, converters, furnace, flux plant, leaking water lines, air lines, and more. Key Responsibilities
- Work on rotating machinery, lubrication systems, hydraulics, pneumatics conveying systems, conveyor belts, chain conveyors, pumps, acid plant area valves, pipe work, water lines around the site, air lines, and maintenance at the water dams.
- Inspect, diagnose, service and repair fixed plant equipment.
- Work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Utilise computerised maintenance management systems.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in workshops and in the field.
- Undertake training and upskilling as required.
- Forklift & EWP licence is an advantage but not essential; training provided. Qualifications & Requirements
- Relevant Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential).
- Previous experience working in fixed plant maintenance.
- Computer literacy and experience in SAP, Fiori or similar applications.
- Current full WA Driver's Licence.
- Flexible, team‑oriented approach with proactive communication skills.
