Lead Engineer (Digital Experience) (Perth)

Overview As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing & driving the development of high-quality, scalable, and secure digital solutions. You will lead a small team of engineers and work closely with cross‑functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to shape and implement innovative solutions that meet business requirements. Responsibilities
- Drive the development of secure, scalable digital solutions on AWS, aligned with platform standards.
- Provide hands‑on guidance to cross‑functional teams, ensuring code quality and best practice adherence.
- Collaborate with the Product Lead to design solutions for business use cases using established patterns.
- Act as the liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on goals.
- Manage backlog, Agile ceremonies, and sprint planning to ensure timely and effective delivery.
- Obtain a deep understanding of the core platform, then mentor team members and act as the Platform SME to promote consistent and effective use. Primary Skills
- Deep experience with core AWS services including Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, and AWS CDK.
- Strong backend skills in TypeScript (Node.js) and Python; familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Proficient with orchestration tools (Orkes and Step Functions desirable) and integration patterns; strong understanding of API security (OAuth2).
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and infrastructure automation.
- Proven track record in leading teams, Agile delivery, and designing scalable, reliable solutions with technical documentation.
- Robust communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and event‑driven systems.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Proven ability to collaborate and effectively lead an engineering team. Desired Skills
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP platforms and integration approaches.
- Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
- Ability to contribute to platform strategy, solution design, and drive delivery in Agile environments.
