Finance and Administration Manager (Perth)

Our client is a sporting organisation with multi-million dollar facilities and over one thousand members. The organisation offers members training, team work and strategy development, fitness programs and outstanding hospitality options. The role of Finance and Administration Manager is pivotal to the successful management and operation of the organisation. Further, success in the role will see the appointee in strong consideration to advance to the role of General Manager in four to five years. Responsibilities of the Finance and Administration Manager are broad in nature as the role stays closely involved with the operational aspects of the organisation. Specific responsibilities of the position include:
- Preparation of the annual budget encompassing all facets of the operations
- Financial and variance reporting for the Directors
- Monthly review of variances with department heads
- Compliance with accounting standards
- Compliance with tax reporting and obligations
- Preparation and assistance with the annual audit
- Cash management and control
- Oversight of the transactional accounting functions Qualified experience and qualifications expected of the successful applicant include;
- CA or CPA qualification at the time of application
- Comprehensive understanding and application of accounting standards
- Preparation of financial reports in commerce, NFP or accounting practices
- Knowledge and application of tax reporting and obligations
- A minimum five years of professional experience after completion of relevant tertiary studies
