Senior Designer (Perth)

About the Role As a Senior Residential Designer, you will work closely with our Sales and Design teams to create innovative and commercially viable home designs that align with client briefs, developer requirements, and authority guidelines. You will bring a strong understanding of residential construction, exceptional design capability, and the confidence to lead design outcomes from concept through to presentation. This role requires a proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to balance creativity, functionality, compliance, and budget considerations. You will also contribute to mentoring design team members and driving continuous improvement within the design department. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of high-quality sales sketches and concept designs using the latest version of ArchiCAD
- Collaborate closely with Sales Consultants to develop tailored design solutions for clients
- Provide expert design guidance and technical advice throughout the sales and design process
- Produce hand-drawn concepts and presentation sketches where required
- Contribute to the design development of new standard products, display homes, and project developments
- Liaise with local councils, developers, and relevant authorities to ensure compliance and design feasibility
- Review and interpret R-Codes, NCC requirements, and developer guidelines
- Assist in mentoring design team members and contributing to a collaborative team culture
- Drive innovative and efficient design outcomes aligned with market trends and client expectations About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction and/or Diploma of Building and Construction (essential)
- Minimum 5+ years Perth-based experience in residential design and/or drafting
- Advanced ArchiCAD proficiency (essential)
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods
- Extensive knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations, including R-Codes and NCC
- Exceptional space planning and problem-solving skills
- A creative flair and passion for design excellence
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment What We Offer
