Senior Power System Engineer We are hiring a Senior Power System Engineer to join our growing team in Australia. Location: Perth, Brisbane, or Hobart (Hybrid options available) Salary: AUD 120,000 per annum (including superannuation) Employment Type: Full-time (Monday–Friday) Start Date: ASAP Work Eligibility: Must have valid Australian working rights About the Role We are seeking two experienced Power System Engineers to support advanced modelling, analysis, and grid connection studies across generation, transmission, and distribution projects. You will contribute to projects in renewable energy, utilities, mining, and oil & gas sectors within Australia’s evolving energy landscape. Key Responsibilities
- Perform power system modelling, simulation, and analysis
- Conduct load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and harmonic studies
- Support electrical design calculations and technical studies
- Ensure compliance with Australian grid codes and relevant standards
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Develop automation tools for data analysis and reporting
- Mentor junior engineers where required Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5–10 years’ experience in power system studies
- Experience in one or more sectors: Renewable Energy, Utilities, Mining, Oil & Gas
- Eligibility for NER (National Engineering Register) preferred
- Strong understanding of grid connection requirements Technical Skills
- Power system tools: PSS E, PSS SINCAL, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD, PTW
- Knowledge of power quality analysis tools
- Familiarity with AS/NZS, IEC, IEEE, ANSI standards
- Programming/automation: Python, VBA, SQL (T-SQL), Fortran What We Offer
