- Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum output.
- Complying with Thiess policies and procedures.
- Responding to instructions from Mining Supervisor.
- Ensuring floor levels are maintained.
- Minimising dilution and achieving design parameters within acceptable tolerances.
- Maintaining stockpiles, dumps and haul roads to ensure flow in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operating, driving and moving material as directed to prepare operating areas and roads.
- Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
- Carrying out pre‑start checks. About you
- 3 years experience operating a Wheel Dozer in a production mining operation.
- Equivalent or specific experience operating CAT 854K or Komatsu 900.
- Strong mining operational skills and ability to maintain pit floors and bunds in a mining production environment.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of ore mark‑ups and pit configuration.
- HR driver’s licence (desirable).
