Role Overview The CFO Advisory Accountant supports a diverse portfolio of clients, including ASX-listed entities, not-for-profit organisations, and small to mid-sized businesses. This role forms part of our CFO Advisory team, delivering fractional CFO services and providing strategic financial and operational support to clients. Key Responsibilities
- Provide support at Board and Executive leadership meetings, including preparation of materials and financial insights
- Assist clients through periods of transformation, growth, or operational change
- Develop, document, and implement best-practice financial processes and systems
- Act as an embedded (insourced) member of a client’s finance team when required
- Deliver management support and financial guidance to client stakeholders
- Liaise with external advisors, including tax accountants, bankers, insurers, company secretaries, and other corporate consultants
- Oversee finance operations, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, data entry, and accruals
- Supervise and support accounts payable processes
- Manage entity consolidations and intercompany transactions
- Assist in the preparation of annual and interim financial statements
- Prepare and contribute to technical accounting papers and documentation
- Produce monthly management reports and performance packs Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification (or in progress)
- Prior experience as an Audit Senior or within a CFO Advisory / outsourced CFO environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
