Safety Advisor - Risk & Compliance (Perth)

Westgold Resources is a leading gold producer based in Western Australia, seeking a Safety Advisor – Risk & Compliance for a permanent full‑time role at its Perth Head Office. Responsibilities
- Providing group‑level advice and support across safety, risk and compliance frameworks.
- Supporting and coordinating incident investigations, including serious and high‑potential events.
- Applying recognised investigation and analysis methodologies to identify systemic causes and control effectiveness.
- Reviewing investigation outcomes to ensure quality, consistency and compliance requirements are met.
- Supporting risk management processes, control verification and compliance assurance activities.
- Partnering with site safety teams and operational leaders to uplift capability and confidence.
- Analysing trends and themes to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting audits, reviews and regulator interactions as required.
- Traveling to operational sites as required to support assurance, investigations and stakeholder engagement. Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in safety, risk or compliance roles within complex or regulated environments.
- Exposure to incident investigations and structured analysis methodologies (e.g. ICAM or equivalent).
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation and risk management principles.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at multiple organisational levels.
- High attention to detail and solid documentation and reporting capability.
- Experience in mining, heavy industry, infrastructure or energy environments (desirable). What We Offer
