Project Coordinator, Foundations of Lung Disease (Perth)

The Opportunity This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to PELICAN, a major international initiative of the European Respiratory Society (ERS), led globally by the Foundations of Lung Disease team at The Kids Research Institute Australia. The position supports the smooth coordination, governance, and delivery of this multi‑country program, ensuring impactful outcomes for paediatric lung health research. Based at our offices in Nedlands, this part‑time role (0.4‑0.6 FTE) is offered on a fixed term of two years. As Project Coordinator you will manage day‑to‑day operations, working closely with project leads, researchers, clinicians, and international collaborators. You will play a central role in project governance, ethics and compliance processes, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge translation activities. About You
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as public health, policy, social sciences, project management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and delivering projects within government, non‑profit, academic, or third‑sector environments, with a robust record of meeting deadlines and objectives.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing needs, and contribute effectively to team goals.
- Experience providing day‑to‑day project support, including administrative coordination, documentation management, and meeting support.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, community partners, and international collaborators.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to produce clear project documents, reports, and stakeholder communications. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion
