Marine Environmental Consultant Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a Marine Environmental Consultant to join our team in Perth to assist in delivering our portfolio of projects to key clients in the energy and resources sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional consultant looking to advance their career with a global environmental leader. About the Opportunity
- In this fast paced and dynamic role you will support a wide range of projects with a focus on environmental impact assessments in marine and coastal environments.
- Support the delivery of large-scale capital development projects, including for renewables, oil and gas (with a growing portfolio of decommissioning-related work), mining and infrastructure sector clients.
- Be a part of multidisciplinary project teams and network with ERM's global marine science technical community to share resources and best practice approaches across the industry. Key Attributes
- Strong commitment to safety; ability to follow established health and safety protocols.
- Effective written and verbal communication; organizational and analytical skills; experience recording, inputting and managing technical data and preparing reports.
- Understanding of / experience working with data management software / databases would be beneficial.
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to succeed in a consulting environment, simultaneously handling multiple project assignments and meeting strict deadlines.
- Dependable, with integrity, respect, positive outlook, and customer focus and the ability to work as a team player.
- Strong interest in marine and coastal ecosystems, potential threats, coastal management issues, and strategies for protection and conservation is essential.
- Australian Working Rights. Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (marine science, environmental science, environmental management).
- Relevant post graduate qualifications such as Honours or Masters would be an advantage and /or 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in environmental consultancy, environmental regulation or industry is an advantage.
- Understanding of Australian environmental approvals processes.
