Technical Support - Area Controller (Perth)

The opportunity We are currently seeking a Technical Support professional to join our Energy and Utilities team on Barrow Island working a two weeks on two weeks off FIFO roster. This role is responsible for managing and controlling safe systems of work through the implementation and ongoing control of Control of Work and Permit to Work systems. The position is field based and focused on confirming isolations and controls are in place at the work front prior to work commencing. This opportunity suits someone with strong permit to work experience and a practical background operating in heavy industrial environments. What we are looking for
- Hands on experience in permit to work and control of work systems, confident operating in the field.
- Background in construction or maintenance environments.
- Strong understanding of Permit to Work process flow.
- Experience with Control of Work systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical and process drawings.
- Computer literacy for Control of Work data entry and permit processing.
- Class C driver’s licence.
- Working at Heights competency.
- Confined Space competency.
- Gas Test Atmospheres competency.
- Minimum five years experience in the construction or maintenance industry.
- Ideally two or more years experience in a similar role. A trade background is highly regarded; there is no specific trade qualification required. What we offer
