Trainer and Assessor (Perth)

Role Overview Ora Banda Mining invites a Trainer Assessor to support safety and competency development at Davyhurst Gold Mine. Location & Roster Davyhurst Gold Mine, Eastern Goldfields – 8/6 roster. Available FIFO from Perth or BIBO from Kalgoorlie. Responsibilities
- Ensure all activities meet the highest safety and compliance standards.
- Promote a strong safety culture by integrating risk management principles into training activities.
- Conduct site observations to assess practical application of training and identify areas for improvement.
- Model and reinforce uncompromising HSET standards and behaviours.
- Coordinate and complete Verification of Competencies (VOC).
- Deliver competency-based training and practical assessments for new and existing employees.
- Coordinate training delivery, both in‑house and external, in consultation with site‑based teams.
- Deliver induction and onboarding programs for recent employees and contractors.
- Provide training support to the Processing Plant Trainers. Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar site‑based role in open cut or underground mining.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE).
- Manual H.R. driver’s licence.
- High‑Risk Work trainer qualifications.
- Current High‑Risk Work licences (cranes, rigging, dogging, scaffolding, EWP, forklift).
- Hands‑on Mining or Processing industry experience.
- Proven ability to develop training materials and support staff development.
- Experience in reporting and preparing training documents.
- Broad understanding of mining operations, methodologies, equipment operation and work health and safety legislation.
- Current first‑aid and CPR certification. Eligibility Candidates must meet pre‑employment criteria, including medical, drug and alcohol screening, and valid National Police Clearance.
