First Aid Responder (Cowes)

Welcome to Sports Aid!

Given our partnerships with various Clubs, numerous Sports Trainer opportunities are available for diverse age groups in different locations across Melbourne. We'll engage in a discussion with you to determine your preferred location for placement.

You must be available on Thursday afternoons from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm to provide support during Training and also on Saturdays for Game Days from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

For individuals who have a passion for sports or want to get experience working in the school sports setting, this is a fantastic opportunity for you.

**Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate and assess sports-related injuries to determine their severity and provide appropriate care and treatment.
- Administer first aid and emergency care for injuries during sports events or training sessions. This includes handling cuts, bruises, sprains, strains, and more serious medical emergencies.
- Maintain detailed records of injuries, treatment plans, and progress throughout rehabilitation.
- Advise players on the appropriate sports equipment and ensure its proper fitting to reduce the risk of injury and maximise performance.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, parents and medical professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to player care and injury management.
- Collaborate with coaches and school/community sports programs to create a safe and conducive environment for players’ development and performance improvement.
- Maintain CPR and AED certifications to prepare for medical emergencies during sports events.

**Payment**:

- All Sports Trainer positions are paid
- Payment is processed fortnightly on Fridays

**Overview of the Employment Process**:

- Sit Zoom interview.
- Get onboarded to our rostering platform & receive instruction with some housekeeping rules, standards, and expectations.

**Requirements**:

- Eligibility to work in Australia.
- Victorian Working with Children Check
- First Aid Certificate & CPR Training

**Desirable**:

- Driver’s licence

**Salary**: $27.50
