About CRS CRS works with children, young people, and families to preserve, restore, and reunify relationships. The Position CRS is recruiting for a Therapeutic Case Manager position based in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) to work in our program supporting young people between 8 – 15 and their families. The program’s focus is on young people who are at risk of homelessness due to significant conflict within the family home. Our program works with both the young person and the family individually to explore family dynamics that can be discussed in family meetings. The position suits someone with mental health education and community service experience, primarily with experience in trauma informed practice and a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Selection Criteria
- Experience working with young people within a strength based, trauma-informed framework
- Demonstrated ability to work in collaboration with other service providers to improve quality of life for young people.
- High level interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Well-developed written and communication skills and ability to document comprehensive case notes
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing environments
- Capacity to work with high needs and complex young people
- Knowledge of and commitment to safeguarding children, youth and vulnerable people. Desirable
- Mental Health First Aid Training
- First Aid certificate
- Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector. Qualifications & Experience We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working in the community sector and have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or similar.
- Minimum two years’ experience in case management or equivalent.
- Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practice. CRS Staff Must Have
- Full driver’s licence.
- WWVP (Working with Vulnerable People) clearance.
