Construction Manager (Roxby Downs)

About the role

RMK Civil Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Manager to oversee the successful delivery of our complex civil construction projects in Roxby Downs, South Australia. As a full-time Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of our projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects that are critical to the growth and development of the local community. This role operates on a 2:1 roster, with mobilisation and return coordinated from Adelaide, including paid flights from ADL to Olympic Dam (ODV). What you'll be doing 1. Manage day-to-day operations, problem solving, decision making, while working with supervisors to determine working priorities. 2. Developing and implementing comprehensive project plans to guide the successful delivery of civil construction projects 3. Overseeing all aspects of project management, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management 4. Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and engineers, to ensure seamless project execution 5. Monitoring progress and taking corrective action to address any issues that arise, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget 6. Ensuring strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations 7. Providing strong leadership and mentorship to the construction team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement 8. Maintaining detailed project records and documentation, and providing regular progress reports to senior management 9. Interpreting architectural drawings and specifications 10. Coordinating labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment 11. Assisting with preparing tenders and contract bids 12. Ensuring adherence to building legislation and standards of performance, quality, cost and safety 13. Prepare and present detailed project documentation, financial reports, and progress updates to senior management, clients, and relevant stakeholders. 14. Ability to confidently understand delays to schedule & recouping any and all cost that are a result of being out of our control, or not as the supplied SOW; and internpopulate V.O’s & EOT/ NTP documents as per any given contract. What we're looking for 1. Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Construction Manager or Project Manager in the civil construction industry 2. Proven track record of successfully delivering complex civil construction projects on time and within budget 3. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills 4. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project management techniques, and quality assurance processes 5. Proficiency in the use of project management software and tools 6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams 7. Relevant tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field 8. Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team What we offer
