Operations Manager – Waste Services (Roxby Downs)

The Opportunity Veolia ANZ is looking for an experienced Operations Manager Waste Services to lead our Roxby Downs operations. In this role, you’ll take ownership of both the commercial and operational performance of a significant Council contract, while leading a site‑based team and serving as Veolia’s primary point of contact for key clients in the region. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable managing client relationships as they are overseeing day‑to‑day operations on the ground. You’ll also play an important part in identifying growth opportunities and strengthening Veolia’s presence in the region. What’s on offer

- Coordinating day‑to‑day operational activities, including customer enquiries, data processing, and administrative support
- Organising driver daily duties in line with client (Council) requirements and the collection schedule
- Take ownership of the commercial performance of the Kerbside Collection and Resource Recovery contracts, tracking delivery against financial targets, KPIs and contractual obligations
- Identify risks and opportunities within the contract and bring well‑considered recommendations to the Contract Manager
- Ensure operational data and records are accurate, current and audit‑ready across all relevant systems
- Lead the preparation of monthly performance reports to Council and support contract renewal and variation processes in collaboration with the Contract Manager What you’ll need to be successful
- Demonstrated experience in a contract management or commercial leadership role
- A solid operational background with the ability to maintain meaningful oversight of site‑based service delivery
- Proven ability to manage and grow senior client relationships with professionalism and confidence
- Solid computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Google Suite
- Valid driver’s licence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Sound analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report on data
- Competent computer skills
