The opportunity Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role will be responsible for managing all transport logistics, warehousing, and inventory activities that support the continuous and protected operation of the MSDP facility. This is a 12‑month maximum term role which operates on a 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region. Key responsibilities
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics, including freight scheduling, load planning, transport documentation, and liaison with vendors and carriers to ensure uninterrupted site supply.
- Manage warehouse and inventory operations using Pronto, maintaining accurate receipting, storage, issuing, stock control, cycle counts, and preservation plans.
- Ensure critical reagent, spare, and consumable stock levels are forecasted and maintained to support continuous plant operations and shutdown activities.
- Oversee safe handling, storage, and transport of dangerous goods and reagents, ensuring full compliance with PLS HSE standards, legislation, and site procedures.
- Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and development support to the Warehouse Technician to build capability and accountability.
- Monitor logistics performance, contractor compliance, and costs, identifying risks and driving continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and service delivery. About you
- Proven experience coordinating logistics, transport, and inventory within a high‑volume or operational warehouse environment, ideally supporting processing or industrial operations.
- Strong working knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP/CMMS), with experience using Pronto or similar to maintain accurate stock control and traceability.
- Sound understanding of dangerous goods, chemical handling, and HSE requirements, with a strong commitment to protected systems of work and compliance.
- Hands‑on experience with materials handling equipment and logistics activities, including load planning, receipting, storage, and dispatch.
- Demonstrated ability to provide day‑to‑day direction, coaching, and support to operational or warehouse personnel.
- Highly organised with strong communication and problem‑solving skills, able to prioritise competing demands in a fast‑paced site environment. What PLS offers
