About the team The Informatics Team is responsible for delivering strategic and operational support that enables the effective use of clinical and corporate information across the Women’s. The team fosters strong internal and external partnerships to implement and integrate contemporary digital, data, and information management practices.
This team partners with key stakeholders to leverage data and digital systems to generate insights and improve care and organisational performance, supporting the delivery of the informatics related priorities within the Women’s Strategic Plan. The key portfolios for this team include Business Intelligence and Analytics, Electronic Medical Record, and Health Information Services and Archives.
About the role This role leads the Royal Women’s Hospital’s informatics function, providing strategic and operational oversight of business intelligence, analytics, health information services and the EMR. It ensures data and digital systems support safe, timely, person-centred care, organisational performance and innovation.
Key accountabilities
Lead informatics strategy aligned to clinical, operational and research priorities.
Oversee EMR performance, optimisation and cross-Parkville partnerships.
Ensure high-quality data governance, integrity, reporting and statutory compliance.
Deliver actionable insights and lead teams to improve patient outcomes, performance and continuous improvement.
About you We are seeking a culturally and technically strong informatics leader

- with deep healthcare analytics expertise. You'll have sound judgement and the ability to lead teams, drive change, and translate complex data into improved patient outcomes, care, performance, and compliance.
You will have demonstrated experience and capability in:
Strategic informatics leadership – proven ability to lead BI, analytics, EMR and health informatic functions at both strategic and operational levels, teams and budgets.
Healthcare data experience – deep experience with clinical, operational and financial datasets, plus strong understanding of enabling systems and supporting technologies.
Stakeholder influence and communication – exceptional ability to engage boards, executives, clinicians and partners, and turn complex data into clear decisions.
Change, governance and delivery – demonstrated success leading teams, transformation, data governance, compliance and performance reporting.
