At Team Global Express, we keep Australia moving. We’re now seeking a proactive and customer-focused Dispatch Officer to join our Courier operations team at Port Melbourne to service our SA operations.

This is a key operational role where you’ll optimise fleet productivity, allocate daily runs, and ensure pick-ups and deliveries run smoothly—while maintaining a strong focus on safety, fairness, and customer service.

**About the Role**

As a Dispatch Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating permanent and ad-hoc courier runs, allocating work fairly across the fleet, and ensuring customers receive a reliable, high-quality service.

You’ll work closely with drivers, contractors, and internal teams to manage daily operations, respond to changing demands, and keep our network performing at its best.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Allocate permanent and ad-hoc Courier and Taxi runs using dispatch systems
- Ensure accurate booking details prior to driver allocation
- Maintain appropriate fleet capacity to meet daily business needs
- Support onboarding of new contractors into dispatch operations
- Manage coverage for leave, sickness, and peak volume periods
- Build strong, professional relationships with customers and drivers
- Reports: Scanning, On-time, Safety, Compliance etc.
- Create safe driving plans for regional deliveries when required
- Ensure compliance with NHVL, Chain of Responsibility, and company policies
- Promote a strong safety-first culture and stop unsafe work when required

**What You’ll Bring**
- Experience in dispatch, fleet coordination, or courier operations (preferred)
- **South Australia geographical knowledge is highly regarded but not essential**:

- Understanding of vehicle allocation, CoR, and transport compliance
- Confident using dispatch and reporting systems (Rockhopper TMS highly regarded)
- Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure in a fast-paced setting
