Sales & Technical Manager (Port Melbourne)

Chemvet Australia was established in 1993 as an Australian veterinary research and development company focusing on the formulation of drenches and mineral supplements for livestock. The company is committed to delivering optimal animal health solutions directly to farmers. Reporting to the General Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating and executing a broad range of Chemvet's sales activities at the desk (in Port Melbourne/remotely) and on the road. It plays a key role in growing sales orders from new and existing customers across a broadening range of products. The role involves travel around Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland. The role's primary responsibility is to sell Chemvet's growing range of products and services by continually engaging with existing and potential clients, focusing on the importance of extensive technical knowledge of sheep and cattle production systems, as well as Chemvet's products. Excellent communication, presentation skills and self-motivation will be the key to success in this role. You will work effectively and efficiently as a member of a small team, enjoy flexible working arrangements, and undertake a variety of work across the sales and marketing side of the business, establishing strong working relationships with internal staff and various external stakeholders. - Previous professional experience in a sales role.
- Experience with Salesforce, Xero and Microsoft products will be well regarded.
- Communication skills, face-to-face, email and phone.
- An empathy with the rural sector, especially the sheep and cattle sector.
- Ability to work independently and create self-targets.
- Ability and desire to learn. MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- An appropriate tertiary degree is required for this position, or equivalent experience.
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
- Hold a current driver's license. POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS This position also has the following specific requirements:
- As part of an integrated and flexible business model, you may be required to provide technical and sales support based at the Port Melbourne office as well as on the road.
