As part of our growing operations, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day retail operations of our store. The Role We are seeking a hands-on and highly organised Retail Manager to manage the daily operations of the supermarket and ensure the store operates efficiently, profitably, and in line with company standards. This role is responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, maintaining store presentation, ensuring customer satisfaction, and overseeing the overall retail performance of the business. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail store, ensuring smooth and efficient business operations
- Supervise, train, and support store staff to maintain high levels of customer service and operational standards
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock ordering, and ensure accurate stock control procedures are followed
- Oversee store merchandising, product displays, and promotional activities to maximise sales performance
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies
- Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Monitor store budgets, sales targets, and financial performance to achieve business objectives
- Coordinate staff rosters and manage labour costs effectively
- Maintain store cleanliness, organisation, and visual presentation standards
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding stock supply and operational requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve store performance, customer experience, and operational efficiency
- Prepare reports relating to sales, stock management, and store performance as required Qualifications & Experience
- Qualification in retail management, business, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in retail supervision, retail management, or supermarket operations
- Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and customer service standards
- Experience in supermarket or grocery retail operations highly regarded
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a quick-paced retail environment and manage competing priorities
