Vipac Engineers & Scientists is seeking a skilled and motivated Boilermaker/Mechanical Fitter to join our Port Melbourne testing laboratory.
About the Role:
As part of our maintenance and support team, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining a variety of mechanical systems and test rigs. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our facility and support the broader objectives of multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities: Fabricate and assemble mechanical test rigs Perform in office maintenance and repair work Provide technical support to other departments as required Assist with general workshop operations and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements: Trade qualification in Boilermaking or a related discipline Competency in operating lathe and milling machines Proficient in MIG welding Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Australian Permanent Residency or Citizenship
