Technical Lead (Electrical) - Data Centres (Port Phillip City)

Technical Lead (Electrical) – Data Centres We are seeking a Technical Lead (Electrical) to play a key role in the growth of Jacobs’ data centre and mission‑critical design services. The Technical Lead will provide design work, contribute to team technical collaboration, perform quality reviews of design packages, and assist directly with other portions of the design process. Working closely with the broader multi‑discipline team in a fast‑paced, dynamic, collaborative environment the Technical Lead will establish design requirements and produce construction documents for data centre facility power distribution systems, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low‑voltage communications systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the relevant state authority in the building/construction industry.

Solid experience in electrical design for mission‑critical or complex facilities, including data centres, pharmaceuticals or industrial environments.

Deep understanding of medium and low voltage distribution systems, emergency power and campus‑scale infrastructure.

Strong understanding of Australian standards and codes.

Confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary team.
