Job Overview The Electrical Reliability and Compliance Engineer will be a key member of the Asset Management Team, delivering electrical engineering expertise across maintenance, design, construction, and commissioning activities. The role focuses on ensuring safety, compliance, and high‑quality outcomes, while fostering relationships and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Key Duties and Accountabilities
- Provide electrical engineering expertise to support plant operations and maintenance needs.
- Contribute to assigned capital projects, ensuring protected, compliant, and high‑quality outcomes.
- Oversee technical aspects of design, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement value‑adding initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards in all engineering activities.
- Offer leadership and guidance to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits checking compliance with established standards and procedures.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Ensure all electrical equipment and systems are installed and maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and Nyrstar’s Engineering Standards. Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within heavy industry.
- Demonstrated experience in designing electrical, instrumentation, and PLC control systems.
- Excellent organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
- Ability to achieve results in a demanding and challenging environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with project management tools and systems.
