Our Client The role you are applying for is for Critical Incident and Potentially Traumatic Event Support for our client – NSW Police Force. The NSW Police Force (NSWPF) is one of the largest police forces in the western world, with more than 20,000 employees, including more than 4,000 administrative employees who support the sworn officers that provide a range of law-and-order services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the socially, geographically, and culturally diverse community of NSW. This is an opportunity to partner with the NSW Police Force and provide care for those who are in the frontline doing sometimes difficult but incredibly important work. Every intervention you deliver has the potential to make a profound impact on those who protect our communities. About The Role The purpose of this role is to provide Critical Incident Response Services (including emergency response, critical incident and potentially traumatic event interventions, change support and disaster response) using the primary intervention models of Psychological First Aid, stepped care and referral pathways. This support is required during an incident or organisational change, and will involve informing the organisations of themes, recommendations, or any internal (customer) process improvements. We are seeking contractors/employees who are experienced registered Psychologists and Social Workers, to provide critical incident, potentially traumatic event and crisis counselling support, using Psychological First Aid (PFA) and other trauma specific interventions and approaches to support individuals in one-on-one trauma support. About You
- Experience in providing psychosocial interventions, support and counselling.
- Relevant experience and minimum 3 years trauma management and/or relevant consultancy services.
- Demonstrated ability to assess workplace issues, identify suitable intervention programs and provide solution-focused advice to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Have a passion to help people and enjoy working flexibly in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills, report writing skills and willingness to travel to client sites to do trauma response work.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in delivering clinical services (EAP, RRS).
- High level negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
- Trained in Psychological First Aid as well as be registered with the appropriate professional body.
