Dulcie’s Kings Cross is on the hunt for a Full-Time all rounder to join our team. For those who don’t know, Dulcie’s Kings Cross is now in its 7th year celebrating all the wonderful things we make right here in Australia. With no international products in the bar, we offer a unique experience to our guests, providing a place for Australian products to shine in an industry often overshadowed by the bigger brands. As a 60 pax venue, we’re one of the smallest cocktail bars in Sydney with a big focus on history, tableside service and bespoke cocktails. Operating 6 days a week, we host regular ticketed talks on Sundays highlighting the history of Kings Cross and Sydney, Dulcie’s Picture House on Tuesdays and Live Jazz on Thursdays. There are rarely two shifts running alike so the right candidate would need to be adaptive and flexible. We have a sizable list of regulars in our Quaffing Club, amassing 50 members, and growing, so an ability to remember faces and the strength to build meaningful relationships with our guests is a must. For the right candidate, we will be offering the following.
- Consistent, full time hours with rosters released a fortnight in advance.

- A unique insight to Sydney and Kings Cross history from firsthand experiences from our History Talks What we’re asking for:
- Minimum 3 years cocktail bartending experience
- Someone who is comfortable to jump between bar and floor, being adaptive and flexible is a must.
- Someone who has availability on Friday and Saturday nights
- Classic cocktail experience required
- A passion for delivering world class hospitality, actively looking at ways to go above and beyond for our guests, and introduce first timers to the wonderful world of Australian products.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, the need to shift gears up and down cannot be understated, we get busy real quick.
- The confidence to run a section on your own. During the week we run with 2 staff members so being comfortable in running the floor or the bar solo for the day is a must. (Note, there will always be a Manager on site taking the other section).
- Effective communications skills
- Someone comfortable in expressing themselves through their own brand of hospitality, we want your personality on show and so do our guests.
