About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our leadership team. This is a role for a hospitality professional. Someone comfortable leading a busy dining room, stepping behind the bar during service, discussing wine with guests, supporting private events, and helping a team deliver consistently excellent hospitality across every corner of the venue. Working closely with the Venue Manager, Assistant Venue Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Bar Manager, you’ll play a significant role in the daily operation of the hotel and become one of the key leaders on the floor. This isn’t a position for someone who wants to manage from a distance. We’re looking for a hands-on operator with strong service instincts, excellent judgement, and the ability to move confidently between restaurant, bar, functions, and guest-facing operations. Success in this role looks like seamless service, a confident and engaged team, and guests who leave feeling genuinely looked after. What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading service across all areas of the hotel
- Supporting the leadership team in daily venue operations
- Maintaining exceptional standards of service, presentation, and hospitality
- Mentoring and developing Front of House team members during service
- Working across restaurant, bar, functions, and courtyard operations as required
- Building relationships with regular guests and fostering genuine hospitality
- Assisting with beverage service, wine recommendations, and guest engagement
- Supporting the delivery of private events and large bookings
- Managing guest feedback with professionalism and care
- Upholding venue standards, procedures, and operational controls What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Restaurant Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality leadership position
- Strong restaurant service experience and a genuine appreciation for hospitality
- Confidence working across both food and beverage operations
- The ability to lead calmly and effectively during busy services
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A hands-on approach and willingness to support the team wherever required
- Strong knowledge of food, beverage, wine, and service standards
- Current RSA certification Highly regarded:
- WSET Level 2
- Previous experience within quality-led pubs, restaurants, hotels, or wine-focused venues
