**Wynns Locksmiths is an established and successful business based in the inner Northern Melbourne suburb of Preston. We provide Master Key Systems, Locksmith Services, Architectural Door Hardware and Electronic Security solutions to the Commercial, Residential, Building and Automotive sectors.**

**Our large and growing client base means our busy locksmith department is looking for a qualified and experienced Locksmith to join our On-Road team. Covering Metropolitan Melbourne you will deliver a full range of locksmith services while being supported by a solid and experienced operations team.**

**Duties include but not limited to**:

- Assembling parts and subassemblies of locks
- Dismantling locks, repairing and replacing defective parts, and reassembling articles using hand and power tools and specially designed machines
- Duplicating keys using various machines
- Programming transponder keys
- Installation of locks and door furniture
- Cutting keys to code
- Onsite rekeying, and general maintenance and repair of locks and other associated hardware
- Building cylinders and padlocks
- Rekeying, repair & service of locks
- Designing and maintaining Master Key Systems
- Serving customers and answering phone calls
- Providing advice and quotations for customers’ requirements
- Quality control and checking jobs completed by other employees
- Attending onsite jobs including:

- fitting locks and door hardware
- repairing and maintaining lock systems
- rekeying
- picking locks
- opening locked automobiles
- fitting and installing door closers, hinges and electronic door release mechanisms
- assisting in the installation of safes and CCTV
- conduct security surveys and recommend appropriate security systems

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Attitude Required
- A recognised Locksmith qualification [AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
- Minimum 2-years work experience
- A knowledge of the parts and materials commonly used by Wynns Locksmiths
- Competent to use the tools and machines needed to provide onsite locksmith services
- An ability to work unsupervised

Pay: $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
