Seeking a School Psychologist – Student Care (Junior School) We are seeking an experienced primary/early years School Psychologist to join our Student Care Team in a part-time (0.4 FTE), ongoing role based at Buckley House (Junior School). This role plays an important part in supporting student wellbeing in the early years, working within a highly valued multidisciplinary team. The Psychologist will provide direct psychological support and contribute to preventative and early intervention strategies that promote wellbeing, resilience, and engagement. What You Will Do
- Provide psychological counselling and evidence-based support to Junior School students
- Conduct assessments to support early identification and intervention, using clinical tools and data-informed practices
- Design and deliver small‑group and whole‑school programs to promote student wellbeing, inclusion, and resilience
- Collaborate with a network of fellow psychologists across the School, aligning practice and sharing expertise to ensure consistent and effective support for our students
- Support student transitions and early years development
- Partner with families and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student care
- Actively contribute to policy development, risk and safety planning, and wellbeing initiatives across the school
- Respond to critical incidents and trauma with professionalism, care and a trauma‑informed lens Who You Are You are an experienced Psychologist with a passion for supporting children in primary and early years settings. You Bring The Following Experience And Skills
- Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA, ideally with postgraduate qualifications in Educational and Developmental psychology
- Demonstrated experience working with primary‑aged children or in early years settings
- A strong understanding of developmental psychology, trauma‑informed practice and mental health disorders
- A collaborative approach and ability to contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team
- Well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with students, staff, parents and community partners
- A demonstrated commitment to child safety and inclusive practice, including a valid WWCC or VIT
- A solutions‑focused mindset, high professional standards and a genuine care for young people What We Offer You
