Medical Receptionist (Ivanhoe)

Doctors of Ivanhoe is a longstanding general practice currently looking for committed and proactive medical receptionists to join our admin team. You will play an integral role in supporting our GP's, nurses and patients visiting the clinic.

We are a GP owned and private billing general practice committed to achieving positive health outcomes for our local community and surrounds. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday 8am
- 6pm, Saturday 9am
- 1pm and closed on Public Holidays.

The shifts available are as follows: Monday 10AM
- 6:30PM (close)

Tuesday 9:30AM
- 6:30PM (close)

Wednesday 9:30- 6:30PM (close)

Alternate Saturdays 8:30AM
- 1:30PM (close)

**What you'll be doing**
- Greeting patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining the practice's appointment calendar
- Answering and directing incoming phone calls
- Handling patient enquiries and providing information about services and procedures
- Assisting with medical billing using tyro and record-keeping tasks
- Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
- Supporting the clinical staff as required
- Adhoc tasks as required

**What we're looking for**
- **Previous experience in a medical reception role (essential)**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in using standard office software, such as Microsoft Office and Best Practice Software
- A friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanour
- Understanding of medical terminology and procedures

**Desirable attributes**:

- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Solid organisational skills and detail-oriented
- Familiarisation with Best Practice Software and HotDoc (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of the RACGP 5th edn Accreditation Standards

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $24.95
- $33.00 per hour
