Psychologist (Thornbury)

Our practice is growing again and we are excited to be recruiting for TWO positions: Role 1-Early Childhood Psychologist (3-5 days/week)
- Key Selection Criteria
- Experience with, and passion for, working with families of children aged under 6 years
- Confidence with presenting issues such as school readiness, developmental concerns, behavioural difficulties, emotional regulation, autism, parenting challenges etc.
- Understanding and knowledge of child development
- Comfortable working with parents to provide evidence-based strategies to support their child's development
- Competence with ADOS-2, WPPSI-IV and other relevant standardised psychological assessment tools, especially in relation to assessing autism
- Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is required and ideally at least one year's experience as a fully registered psychologist
- Medicare provider eligibility
- Competence with maintaining an average of minimum 5 billable hours per day (this includes allocated report writing for assessments) Role 2-General Psychologist
- Child/Adolescent &/or Adult (3-5 days/week)
- Key Selection Criteria
- Experience providing counselling for school aged children and adolescents at NCCD and/or adults in our new sister practice NCAP
- Confidence with assessing/formulating/diagnosing the relevant client groups for ADHD, Autism, Learning difficulties (children and adolescents only) using standardised assessment tools such as WISC-V, WIAT-III, ADOS-2, ADI-R etc.
- Full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is required and ideally at least one year's experience as a fully registered psychologist
