- Afternoon Shift Preston, VIC Full-Time Permanent Role $67.85 per hour Monthly RDO A leading national manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenance team based in Preston, VIC. This is a permanent full-time opportunity working an afternoon shift from 2:00pm to 10:00pm, offering excellent hourly rates, stable long-term employment, and the opportunity to work within a modern manufacturing workplace. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring plant equipment and machinery are maintained to the highest standard to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency. Key responsibilities include
- The Maintenance Electrician will perform preventative and pre-planned maintenance activities
- As the Maintenance Electrician you'll be attending and resolving electrical breakdowns and faults
- This Maintenance Electrician will diagnose and troubleshooting electrical and control system issues
- The Maintenance Electrician will be maintaining and repairing manufacturing plant equipment
- This Maintenance Electrician will be supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- This Maintenance Electrician will be ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- As the Maintenance Electrician you'll be working collaboratively with production and maintenance teams Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Current VIC Electrical Licence (essential)
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of:
- AC motors
- Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
- PLCs
- HMIs
- Control circuits
- Experience with fault finding and diagnostics
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety What’s on Offer
