**Role Purpose**

Reporting to the Head of Innovation, this role supports the Product Development team by assisting with the preparation of product samples, testing of samples, coordinating sample distribution, and completing required documentation. This is an entry-level role, suitable for someone who is methodical, able to follow instructions, with a passion for food and willingness to learn.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare product samples according to approved recipes
- Accurately follow formulations, procedures, and written instructions
- Package, label, and send samples to internal or external stakeholders
- Carry out product testing and assessments including pH, viscosity, organoleptic & product functionality
- Complete NPD paperwork, records, and documentation clearly and accurately
- Assist with maintaining sample logs, specifications, and development records
- Work closely with NPD team members, production, and quality teams as required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe work environment
- Support general NPD activities and projects as directed

**Desirable Experience & Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or Food Technology (advantageous)
- Experience in a food manufacturing, laboratory, or production environment (advantageous)
- Understanding of basic food safety and hygiene requirements (training can be provided)
