Pre-Press & Print Production Operator G&B; Services (NSW) Pty Ltd Prospect NSW 2148 | Full-time Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Immediate Start Available About the Role Tired of staring at a screen for 8 hours straight? We are looking for a Pre-Press Graphic Designer who wants to see their work come to life in our dedicated print room. G&B; Services handles steady, high-quality infrastructure projects, including work for Transport for NSW (TfNSW). Your position will act as the vital bridge between the design screen and the finished graphic. Day-to-day, you will be handling pre-press graphics, operating large format industrial printers and laminators, and running our iEcho cutting table. Please note: This is a highly technical, production-focused role (file prep, layout, print production) rather than a conceptual design role. It is an excellent stepping-stone for an early-career skilled wanting to expand their practical skills in physical print manufacturing. The Best Asset You Can Bring: We value a positive, "can-do" attitude. We are looking for someone who is easy to work with, eager to master the tools of the trade, and happy to jump between the computer workstation and operating the print room machinery. Essential Skills: Pre-Press & Proofreading 1 to 2 years of experience working with Adobe Illustrator or Flexi Design in a job is required for this role.
- Software Proficiency: You should be confident using these programs daily to manage layouts and accurately set up files for print.
- High-Level English & Proofreading: You will be the final set of eyes before a job hits the printer. Excellent written English is essential to catch typos, review technical specs, and ensure 100% accuracy.
- Detail Oriented: A sharp eye for typography, layout, and catching errors early. Physical Requirements: Active Print Room Environment This is a hands-on role for someone who prefers an active workday over a desk-bound position.
- Active Pace: You will be on your feet throughout the day, moving regularly between the design station, the industrial printers, and the cutting table.
- Manual Handling: You will be working directly with production materials. You must be physically fit and capable of safely handling heavy materials (e.g., maneuvering vinyl rolls up to 20kg, utilizing safe manual handling techniques). Additional Assets (Non-Essential) We provide full on-the-job training and mentorship for our specific machinery, but any of the following is a massive bonus:
- Equipment Experience: Previous experience operating large format industrial printers, wide-format laminators, or an iEcho cutting table.
- File Setup: Experience creating cut files or CNC-ready paths.
- Workshop Skills: Any previous experience in a sign shop or print room environment. What We Offer
