Location: Bungendore NSW 2621
Position Type: Casual
Hours: Monday and Thursday (4hrs each)
Salary: $35.00hr
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities? We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Staff to join our team in Tamworth, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, helping them live independently and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide social support, and companionship to individuals with disabilities.
Assist with daily activities, including meal preparation, domestic duties and medication management.
Support clients with mobility, transportation, and social activities.
Empower clients to live as independently as possible, fostering dignity and respect.
Assist with light household duties and community engagement.
Requirements:
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Current NDIS screening check and WWCC:
Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable car with insurance for transportation of clients.
Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful attitude towards people with disabilities.
Honest, reliable and committed to work unsupervised in 1:1 workplace.
Robust communication skills in English and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in disability support is highly regarded
Clean Updated Police Certificate
Verifiable work referees
Must possess valid ABN.
Desirable:
Australian Indigenous applicants are encouraged to apply.:
Knowledge of disability support practices and NDIS guidelines.
Experience with complex needs or behavioural support is a plus.
