**The Role** The Directorate of Communications Services are looking for a highly motivated individual with current knowledge, experience and skills in Government Procurement, Contracting and Financial Management. This is a multi-disciplinary role, and the successful applicant will be expected to be accountable and driven to achieve successful delivery of very complex procedural, operational, business and financial management activities.

The additional payment is a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) which enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the rate of salary otherwise payable under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) to some or all of the jobs within a critical occupation(s) or discipline within a workplace. Applicants engaged into a BDCP position must consider the following. BDCPs provide remuneration in addition to the Defence Enterprise Agreement (EA).

**About our Team** The Business Operations Support team is a small group that is dedicated to the delivering of high quality procurement support and advice. We are dedicated to improving and streamlining processes while paying attention to detail and providing clarity on sometimes complex outcomes.
- You will need to be Canberra based and available for full time, in office employment.
- A proven background working with Tender evaluations, Section 23 approvals, RFQ and register maintenance.
- You will need excellent written and verbal communications skills. You must be able to explain complex ideas succinctly in plain English.
- You must have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build constructive skilled relationships with senior stakeholders outside your immediate work area, vendors and colleagues.
- You should have experience with procurement regulation and associated legislation and requirements.
- You will have skills and experience in Government Procurement, Contracting and Financial Management.
