Welcome to Deception Bay North State School (DBNSS), where our motto is 'Pride in Achievement'. Preparing our students to develop their skills which will enable them on a pathway towards a chance at a 'life of choice' has been our moral purpose. DBNSS community expectations are:

Our school is a Positive Behaviour for Learning community and works collaboratively to develop students' understanding of brain function (Neuroscience) to develop self-regulation skills to improve success with learning. We work collaboratively with the Deception Bay Community organisations; including our P&C;, all parents, to ensure our students can be the best they can be. Parents are welcome to attend a large number of special events including sports days, book week, under 8's days, transition days, student led conferences, art and performance nights, community breakfasts, morning teas, NAIDOC and ANZAC day. Parents are also encouraged to assist in class if they are able to. Every day counts if we are to ensure our students achieve success parents and carers must ensure their students attend every day, they are well enough to do so.
