We're looking for an Electronics Security Technician in a full time capacity and the role involves installing, maintaining and repairing electronic security systems.
**Description of Duties and Tasks**
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be included as per the client’s requirements.
- Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic equipment and systems, including audio and visual reproduction devices, computers, and electronic security systems.
- Inspect the sites and understand the security requirements form the client’s Perspective and the company’s perspective.
- Inspecting and testing machines, equipment, instruments, and control systems to identify and diagnose faults.
- Manage one’s own workflow and keep track of all ongoing jobs/projects from start to finish.
- Perform the electronic security installation and service, along with access control, IP Camera systems and any other electronic security related systems.
- Evaluate, test and troubleshoot the systems as per the requirements of the clients
- Follow the policies and procedures of the organization and comply with the reporting and documentation requirements.
- Ensure day-to-day communications with both customers and MASG is exceptional.
- Upgrading the systems to make systems more user friendly up on the client’s satisfaction.
- Assigned equipment and tools must be maintained well at all the times.
- Always maintain a ledger of what tools and equipment needed for the job and always maintain the inventory.
- Providing clients with guidance on correct operating procedures.
- Repairing, adjusting, and replacing defective components and wiring, while ensuring proper maintenance of equipment.
- Reassembling, testing, operating, and fine-tuning equipment for optimal performance.
- Providing clients with guidance on correct operating procedures.
**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of facilities.
- Ability to select the proper type of cable and perform installation in plenum or non-plenum rated environments.
- Knowledge of basic circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic security equipment, computer hardware, and software.
- Utilizing expertise in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles for commissioning and maintaining control systems.
- Knowledge of estimating OR determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
- Knowledge of analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services, including customer needs assessment, quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
**Skills**
- Skill in the use of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
- Skill in maintaining confidentiality of information viewed through camera imagery and other settings.
- Skill in inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Effective organization, planning and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions precisely.
- Ability to safely drive an MASG vehicle and to keep it clean and tidy at all times.
- Possess a high level of problem solving and fault-finding skills. Skill in installing equipment and machines to meet specifications.
- Skill in communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions precisely.
- Skill in understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Skill in conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Skill in giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.
- Skill in talking to others to convey information effectively.
**Licenses/Certifications Required**
- Hold a current WA Security License
- Hold a current Cabling License
- Hold a current Driver’s License (Manual)
