The Role Reporting to the Coordinator Town Planning, and based in Windsor NSW, this position is responsible for processing development and associated applications which have been submitted to Council under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, Local Government Act 1993, and related legislation. About You You will be motivated and eager to contribute to the growth of the Hawkesbury community through urban and regional planning. You will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer excellence and will be adept at working through problems utilising your excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong written and verbal communication, great time management. You will positively contribute to the team culture whilst delivering team and organisational objectives. Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related discipline
- Relevant experience in the assessment of development applications
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Environment Planning & Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993 and associated legislation and regulations as they relate to development assessment
- Developed communication skills both verbal and written including report writing skills
- Experience with complex and/or contentious developments is desirable
- The right to live and work in Australia
- Class C Drivers Licence
- WHS General Construction Work in NSW
