This full-time position reports to the proprietor and assumes full responsibility for management of the 60-acre freehold property including our boutique vineyard (approx. 5 acres). See more information at The ideal candidate will be competent with general repairs and maintenance required for the property infrastructure, as well as mowing of paddocks, clearance of fallen trees etc. This position will suit someone who also has previous experience working in vineyards, and agricultural properties. You will need to possess a sound knowledge of irrigation processes and strong mechanical aptitude with tractors and farm equipment. You will also understand the importance of safety in the workplace and ensure safe work practices are being utilised. As a full-time self-sufficient worker, you will also manage part-time assistance for netting, harvesting and pruning priorities. Note our grapes are delivered to Hunter Valley for processing under guidance from our consultant wine maker. Skills and Experience
- A practical can-do capability with property repairs and maintenance
- Mechanically minded with the initiative and ability to problem solve
- Experience in horticulture, ideally including vineyard management Advantages
